St. Paul boys basketball: Cardinals rout Kerrville OLH

Trent Brown sank 17 points and Fisher Davis dropped in 11 points to lead St. Paul Cardinals to a 61-17 win at Kerrville Our Lady of the Hills on Saturday. St. Paul started hot with a 21-2 run in the first frame and remained hot with a 14-3 run in the second quarter for a big 35-5 halftime  lead.

St. Paul boys basketball: Bracken beats Cardianls with perimeter shooting

As in previous meetings, the St. Paul Cardinals knew exactly what they would facing in Bulverde Bracken. A very stout team that excels at outside shooting. The Warriors lived up to expectations as they hit nine triples in a 50-35 win over the Cardinals Jan. 3 at St. Paul High School.

YOAKUM — The Lady Cardinals split four games at the Yoakum Lady Bulldog Holiday Classic Tournament with wins over Victoria West junior varsity and Caldwell, and fell short to Yoakum and Lexington to finish sixth overall. St.

Not making inside shots have been the Achilles heel for the St. Paul boys basketball team lately. Coming into the home game against Allen Academy on the afternoon of Dec. 20, St. Paul had been in several close games, just not able to get over the hump.

The Lady Cardinals had a great second quarter. They just did not have that good of a first quarter and did not have a good second half in a 43-32 setback to the Allen Academy Lady Rams Dec. 20 at St. Paul High School.

On the heels of their fifth straight season of playing in the state championship match, the St. Paul Cardinals had plenty of players make All-State and All-District. All-State Selected for the First Team Offense is lineman Carson McNabb, running back Zane Barta and tight end Josh Bonorden.
