No, we weren’t out cruising the bay last week, despite what it looks like. That’s our story, at least, and it wouldn’t take much to get stuck right now. In point of fact, this land along FM 2314 is normally home to a hayfield rather than the roadside waterfront it became Monday, when more than 9 inches of rain fell over the weekend. In so doing, it set the bar for the rainiest January on record, NWS observer Larry Rothbauer reported, with 10.90 inches recorded for the month.
