Sweet Home ISD donates to Sweety Home firemen

The Sweet Home School surprised local firefighters with a $2,000 donation to the Sweet Home Volunteer Fire Department. Students raised the funds by participating in a penny war fundraiser back in the fall.

Filing period form Lavaca County’s rural school boards opens Saturday

All three of Lavaca County’s smallest, most rural school districts will open their month-long filing period Saturday, July 23, for those who live within boundaries of their respective districts and have an interest in serving on their respective boards.
