Shiner boys golf:Shiner boys third at district meet

The Shiner boys golf team  placed third in the district with a score of 405.  Ryan Peterson led with a 94 and Beck Bishop carded a 96. Micah Carson carded a 98. Cade Murrille recorded a 117 and Jackson Welch had a 125.Peterson and Bishop will attend regionals as individuals.

SLE softball: SLE boys softball teams take top place in DVAL tournament in Schulenburg

Shiner St. Ludmila Jr. High Softball competed at a DVAL tournament in Schulenburg on Saturday.  Both 5th/6th and 7th/8th teams were tournament champions.

St. Paul golf: SP boys golf win home tournament

The St. Paul golf teams competed in the St. Paul Tournament over Spring Break in Gonzales. Girls The Lady Cardinals came in second place with a team score of  431. Anna Reeves carded a 99 and got fifth medalist.

Shiner girls golf: LC win Yorktown tourney

The Shiner Lady Comanches won the Yorktown meet on March 29 with a score of 372 Megan Winkenwerder led Shiner with an 81 and was the second medalist in the meet. Chelsea Whiddon carded an 81 and won third medalist. Morgan Lenehan shot 96 and Lauren Faldyn recorded a 106.

St. Paul picked up two wins last week beating Brazos Christian 18-1 on the road March 28 and opening district with a 19-0 home win against Victoria Faith Thursday. SP 18, Brazos Christ. 1 Leading Brazos Christian 8-0 after three innings, St.

Shiner track and field: Lady Comanches varsity take first in the Brahmas Relays meet

The Shiner track teams competed at the Hallettsville Brahma Relays on Thurdsay with the varsity girls earning Gold and the varsity boys working for a Silver. (Only top 6 places available) Varsity Girls The Lady Comanches scored 164.5 points to win the meet.

Shiner boys basketball: Comanches win awards

Several members of the Shiner boys basketball team bi-district finalists received post-season awards. Named to the All-District First Team is senior Ryan Peterson and sophomore Carson Schuette. Making Second Team is seniors Drew Wenske and Micah Carson.
