The Shiner Coach Pitch Softball and Baseball teams started their Special Tournaments last week and continuing through this week.Coach Pitch SoftballThe Shiner 8U/Coach Pitch softball team won one and lost two in the Special Tournament June 1-3.

ELGIN — The Shiner baseball team had its chances in the regional-final game May 20 against Burton in Elgin but it was the Panthers with a 1-0 pitcher’s dual in the one-off gameBoth clubs got three hits complemented by good play on the mound and in the  field.

YOAKUM — The Lady Comanches captured the regional title with an 8-2, 13-5 sweep of Burton Thursday in Yoakum.“I think we did amazing in this series and really set the bar high,” center fielder/short stop Hailey Radicke said.
