St. Paul baseball: Fogle signs with McClennan Community College

St. Paul baseball senior CJ Fogle has spent years working on his game to try to play college ball.His work and accomplishments paid off as he will play at McLennan Community College in Waco.Fogle  signed with McClennan   in a ceremony on April 27 at St.

Shiner track and field: Shiner boys win sprint-relay race

The Shiner Comanches 400-meter relay team of Caleb Cowan, Clayton Fric, Tyler Harvey and Quincy Jones won the 2A state title with a time of 42.51 seconds, edging out Ozona who finished in 42.55. Cowan, Harvey, Fric and Jones made comprised the 800-relay team that was third with 1:28.30.

St. Paul softball: Lady Cards fall to SH in state semifinals

ARLINGTON —  The St. Paul Cardinals, in their return to the state tournament, got an early lead on Sacred Heart, 2-0, in the top of the third inning.But the Indianettes put together a myriad of hits and runs to down St.

Shiner baseball: Comanches advance into regional semis with sweep of La Pryor

JOURDANTON — Shiner swept La Pryor in the area round with an 8-0 shutout and then a late rally, 6-2, Thursday in Jourdanton.Shiner will play Goldthwaite in the regional semifinal round. Game one will be today (Thursday) at 7 p.m. Game two will be Saturday at 1 p.m.

St. Paul softball: St. Paul books return trip to state tourney after big win over Huntsville AO

BRENHAM — St. Paul softball team finished better than they started.The Lady Cardinals scored eight runs in the bottom of the fourth after scoring eight runs over the first three innings for a 16-1 win over Huntsville Alpha Omega May 4 in Brenham for their first trip to state since 2024.

Shiner softball: Shiner wins pitcher’s dual in game two to sweep Mumford

COLUMBUS —  Shiner defeated Mumford 9-5 and 1-0 in the regional semifinals Thursday and Friday in Columbus to advance to the regional final round.The Lady Comanches will face Burton. Games one and two will be played today, starting at 5 p.m.

St. Paul track and field: Lady Cardinals win 2A track and field state championship

The Lady Cardinals won the 2A state track title with 152 points, surpassing second-place Waco Valor Prep who had 91 points, this past weekend in Waco.GirlsThe Lady Cardinals won 13 total medals. Presley Rother got first in the 100-meter dash.Ashlin DeSarro got second in 100 hurdles.
