HISD board sets tax rate

The Hallettsville ISD Board of Trustees met in a special called meeting Monday and approved the proposed tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year.

By a unanimous vote of the board, it set the rate at $0.874262 cents per $100 valuation, which includes a maintenance and operation (M&O) rate of $0.655800 cents and $0.218462 cents for the interest and sinking fund.
