John Lee Korenek

John Lee Korenek, beloved husband and father, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 as a result of complications from an 8-year battle with Wegener's kidney disease and mantle cell lymphoma.   He was born on May 23, 1940, in Nada. He was the oldest of 11 children born to Richard and Adela Korenek.

Baby Sophia Grace Garcia

Baby Sophia Grace Garcia of Moulton was born on Feb. 5, 2023 to Stephanie Solis and Carlos Garcia and was called to her eternal home to be with Jesus on April 2, 2023. Baby Sophia is survived by her parents; one  brother; one sister; three grandparents; four aunts and uncles, and seven cousins.

Annabelle Furrh

Annabelle Furrh, 91, of Moulton, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 20, 2023 at her home.  She was born March 6, 1932 in Akron, Ohio to Harry and Ruth (Martz) Brown. When she was three years old, her family moved to San Antonio where she graduated from Alamo Heights High School.

John Tarver Payne, ‘Jak’

John Tarver Payne, “Jak,” passed away peacefully at Christus Spohn Shoreline in Corpus Christi early Wednesday morning, April 19, 2023.  Jak was employed as the manager of the keyboard section at the Corpus Christi Guitar Center for the past fifteen years.

Lawrence Lee Bozka

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and best friend, Lawrence Lee Bozka - “Larry” who left us on Jan. 5, 2023. He lost a short battle to Pancreatic Cancer.  He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an exceptional member of his community.

Diana Marie Flessner passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 in Katy.   Diana was born on Oct.  14, 1946 in Moulton, to Christina Kurtz Dierschke and Jonnie R. Dierschke.  She graduated from Moulton High School and completed her qualifications from Cosmetology School to become a hairdresser.

Born Chloë Ann La Pointe on Sept 13, 1939 in Marquette, Michigan to her parents Grazia Joanna Hunt and Leo LaPointe, under modest beginnings, Chloë would come to embrace a life filled with faith, wisdom, generosity, and love.

Lillian Pekar, 93, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023. She was born on August 12, 1929 in Shiner, to Joseph E. and Annie Mladenka Hranitzky. She married Daniel Pekar on November 15, 1947.

Annette Sue Cinadr, 69, of Hallettsville, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023.   She was born in Bay City  on Dec. 2, 1953, to Anton Vavrusa and Lillian (Mozisek) (Vavrusa) Harned.

Leonella Annie Klekar

 Leonella Annie Klekar, 89, of Hallettsville, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023.   She was born in  Moravia on Jan. 17, 1934, to John V. and Annie Pargac Novak, the oldest of three daughters.   She began her life on a farm in Moravia.
