Early voting has begun
Early in-person voting started Monday and will be held each day through Friday, Nov. 1.
Besides voting for president and vice-president of the United States, other positions can be found on the ballot as well as Hallettsville Independent School District voters deciding on a bond to fund the proposed building of a new gymnasium/multi-purpose facility.
Registered voters in Lavaca County who wish to vote early can cast their ballot at the Lavaca County Courthouse Annex Building located at 412 N. Texana St. in Hallettsville.
Early voting continues each day this week with the election office open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Early voters can also have the opportunity to vote this weekend on both Saturday, Oct. 26 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and also on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In addition, early voting will be held next week Monday through Friday with the election office open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The general election will take place Tuesday, Nov. 5 with all 11 county voting precincts open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Ballot by Mail Deadline
Registered voters in Lavaca County who plan on voting by mail must have a 2024 ballot by mail application on file with the Lavaca County Elections Department.
The deadline for turning in applications for Ballot by Mail is Friday, Oct. 25.
