DeWitt Commissioners designate November as National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

The DeWitt County Commissioners Court made a proclamation designating November as National Hospice and Palliative Care Month at the Nov. 12 meeting.

DeWitt County Commissioners approve agreements

The DeWitt County Commissioners approved several agreements at the Oct. 14 meeting.The first agreement was a Practitioner Agreement between TML MultiState Intergovernmental Employee Benefits Pool and the Cuero-DeWitt County Health Department for the City of Yoakum.

DeWitt County Commissioners honor National 4-H Week with proclamation

DeWitt County Commissioners made a proclamation designating the week starting Oct. 6 as National 4-H Week at the Sept. 23 meeting.

Commissioners approve DeWitt County burn ban

In the agenda, DeWitt County Commissioners approved a burn ban for unincorporated areas of the county at the June 10 board meeting. This burn ban will be in effect beginning June 15.The county’s drought index numbers showed that the high for drought was at 556 and the low was at 319.

DeWitt Commissioners present Service Award

In a brief agenda, DeWitt County Commissioners presented a distinguished service award certificate to the Texas Historical Commission at the May 30 meeting.“The Historical Commission promotes a positive image to our county,” Judge Daryl Fowler said in a letter.

DeWitt commissioners meet on May 13 at courthouse

DeWitt County Commissioners executed and implemented an Economic Development and Donation Agreement between DeWitt County and the Cuero Livestock Show at the May 13 meeting.The donation is $25,000 and will go towards the maintenance and operations before and after the Cuero Livestock Show.
