American Legion Post No. 230 in Hallettsville held their honorary flag retirement ceremony at the local Legion Hall in the city park. They were joined this year by the Boy Scouts of Hallettsville, who assisted local veterans prep all the old flags they’d been brought by those in the community to respectfully dispose of our national symbol with the all the respect she’s rightfully due. Grand jury doles out eight indictments

Lavaca County grand jurors handed down eight felony indictments last month, almost all of which were tied to illegal drugs.
One of those eight cases was returned a sealed indictment, which typically involves cases where an arrest warrant wasn’t yet served.
An indictment does not imply guilt.
