Shiner volleyball: LC win at Industrial 3-1

The Lady Comanches won the first two sets against the Lady Cobras Friday in Industrial but did not get the sweep as Industrial took the third set by two points. Shiner rallied to win the fourth set to win the match, 25-16, 25-21, 24-26 and 25-23.

Shiner cross country: Lady Comanches take second at Schulenburg meet

The Shiner cross-country teams ran in the Schulenburg on Thursday with the varsity girls earning a team Silver. Varsity Girls The Lady Comanches came in second place with 101 points. Hayleigh Burns was Shiner’s top finisher with fourth place in 14 minutes, 17 seconds. Emma Joslin was No.

Shiner volleyball: Lady Comanches experiment with lineup in win over VFA

With the start of district less than two weeks away, the Shiner Lady Comanches took advantage of a non-district match to tweak some things. The Lady Comanches swept the Victoria Faith Academy Lady Cougars 25-6, 25-8, 25-17 at home on Aug. 29.

Shiner football: Industrial scores late to edge SHS

The Industrial Cobras scored twice in the final 90 seconds of the game to defeat the Shiner Comanches 41-34 Friday in Industrial.

Shiner volleyball: Lady Comanches sweep SH in road match

Shiner swept Hallettsville Sacred Heart in a road non-district game Aug. 22, 25-19, 25-10, 25-21. Aimee Mitchon had two kills, one block, one dig; Callie Sevcik produced five kills, two digs, one ace.   Charlotte Grosenbacher had four aces, one assist, one dig.

Shiner cross country: LC earn fifth at Industrial meet

The Shiner cross-country teams ran in Industrial on Saturday. The girls earned a top-five finish. Varsity Girls The Lady Comanches recorded 164 points to earn fifth place in the team standings. Hayleigh Burns was Shiner’s top finisher with No. 11 in 14 minutes, 47 seconds. Emma Joslin was No.
