Shiner boys basketball: Comanches throttle Louise 84-51

Against Louise last Friday, the Shiner Comanches kept on scoring and scoring. And scoring and scoring. Carson Schuette hit four triples and sank 21 points, Ryan Peterson deposited 17 points and Micah Carson finished with 14 points and three triples as Shiner blew down Louise 84-51.

Shiner girls basketball: Lady Comanches complete first round of district unbeaten

The Shiner Lady Comanches concluded the first round of district play unscathed. Shiner went to 6-0 with a 58-26 win over Louise Friday night at home. “To finish the first round of district undefeated is pretty big,” Shiner head coach Ray Neal said. “We are still making little improvements.

Shiner girls basketball: Lady Comanches defeat Flatonia in close game

The Shiner Lady Comanches remained unbeaten in district play after holding off a stout Flatonia team. Shiner endured seven total tres from the Lady ‘Dogs, led by Summer Sodek who had five and 222 total points, in a 48-41 Lady Comanche win.

Shiner boys basketball: Shiner competes but falls to Flatonia

At times, the Comanches were running with top 10 Flatonia Bulldogs. But in the end, it was Flatonia who sustained consistent momentum to take down the Comanches 80-47 Friday night at Shiner High School. “We played with Flatonia in spurts,” Shiner head coach Jeff Akin said.
