St. Paul Football: Cards rally for first win of season.

Zane Barta rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns to lead St. Paul to a comeback 38-35 win at San Antonio TMI on Friday. TMI was ahead 35-14 at halftime, St Paul outscored TMI 16-0 in the third and then scored early in the fourth quarter for the win.

Shiner Volleyball: Lady Comanches capture Industrial 3-0

The Shiner volleyball is reaping the benefits of playing as a unit. The Lady Comanches quickly demolish the Industrial Lady Cobras in three sets , 25-11, 25-14 and 25-11 Friday afternoon at home.

St. Paul Volleyball: Lady Cards win first district contest

The Lady Cardinals did not play relaxed at the start of their district opener against Cedar Park Summit Christian Academy Thursday at home. St. Paul did not stay that way the whole match and got the victory over CPCSA 3-0 (25-13, 25-6, 25-1). “We were thinking way too much in that first set,” St.

Volleyball: Lady Comanches serve up sweep over St. Paul

The Lady Comanches serving was on point. Shiner beat cross-town opponent St. Paul in three games, 25-12, 25-15, 25-25-16 on Aug. 30. The Lady Comanches had 22 aces in the match. “We had been working on serve-receive and we served very aggressively,” Lady Comanches head coach Desiree Nitsch said.

St. Paul Volleyball:SP gets win at HC tourney

The Lady Cardinals volleyball dropped a three-set match at Flatonia Aug. 16 and played five matches in the San Marcos Hill Country Tournament Aug. 19 and 20, winning one, tying one and losing three. Flatonia 3, St. Paul 0 St. Paul lost in three sets to Flatonia 25-19, 28-26, 25-14.

Shiner CC: Lady Comanches third at Industrial

The Lady Comanches and Comanches ran in the Industrial meet on Saturday. Varsity Girls The Lady Comanches got third with 90 points. Ramirez was Shiner’s top finisher with ninth place in 14:40. Burns was No. 11 in 14:49; Chrismon was No. 14 in 14:59; Pustka was No. 17 with a time of 15:06.

St. Paul Volleyball: Lady Cardinals get five wins at Rice

The Lady Cardinals volleyball team went 5-3 in the Rice Tournament last Thursday through Saturday. Pool D (Thursday) The Lady Cardinals went 1-2 in Pool D play on Thursday to capture third place, going up against Palacios, Weimar and Boling. St. Paul 2, Palacios 1 St.

Football: Shiner teams will look to rebound

Shiner hosts Industrial while St. Paul is at San Antonio TMI-Episcopal. Both teams fell in their openers. Industrial at Shiner Shiner hosts Industrial at 7:30 p.m. at Comanche Stadium for the first of two straight home games.
