Wednesday car chase leads to drug arrest

By JIMMY APPELT Staff Writer A car chase that began near Schulenburg on Wednesday morning, Sept. 13, came to an end later that afternoon when the vehicle wrecked at the corner of Jerry and Main streets in Hallettsville.
Hallettsville’s Statue of Liberty was one of just two Lady Liberty miniatures found in the Lone Star State as of 2018, though a couple more have gone up in East Texas since. Still, she has almost as many visitors here in Hallettsville as those who swing by to see our historic courthouse over the course of a year, believe it or not.

Sacred Heart Catholic High School Graduation

      The 2023 Sacred Heart Catholic High School Commencement Exercises will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville.  Graduating seniors will be receiving their high school diplomas.
