At Monday’s Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court meeting, the court acknowledged Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office employee, Darlene Stacy, who is retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. Stacy was presented the United States flag encased in a wooden frame. The flag had flown over the Lavaca County Courthouse and was folded by Hallettsville Cub Scout Pack 223. The Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court met in a regular meeting Monday morning and was informed of the upcoming Lavaca County Day at the Capitol.Prior to action agenda items, Lavaca County resident, Paul Yamarick, spoke before the court, regarding the event.
