SMITHVILLE — In the fourth quarter against Granger in the bi-district round, the Lady Comanches had a double-digit lead.However, Shiner did not always make the wisest of choices but still held on for a 55-48 win Feb. 16 at Smithville High School.

The Shiner Lady Comanches golf team placed seventh in the Industrial Cobra Tournament with a team score of 465.Jaeleigh Ramirez carded a 103; Olivia Akin recorded a 115; Addie Prove scored a 121. Jessica Whiddon and Raleigh Moore carded a 126; Reagan Robles had a 140; Harlee Sevcik recorded a 153.

After combining for 59 first-half points, Shiner and Bloomington one upped themselves with 87 total points in the second half.At the end of the line, it was the Wildcats who came out ahead 76-70 Friday at Shiner High School in the district finale for Shiner.

Weimar scored at the buzzer to complete the season sweep of Shiner.With less than eight seconds to go in the game and a 40-40 tie, Weimar’s Cook got the ball and went up for a shot that went into the basket at the buzzer to give the Lady Wildcats a 42-40 win over Shiner  Feb.
