Shiner Women’s United Tennis League hosted the 4th annual Half Moon Holidays Doubles Tennis Tournament. This year included men’s doubles as well as  women’s doubles.

Shiner football: Doug Brooks, Tyler Palmer see action in TAMUK 2024 season

Shiner graduates Tyler Palmer (2021) and Doug Brooks (2022) each played some in the 2024 season for the Javelina football team.The Javelinas were 7-4 and 6-3 in conference play, 3-3 at home and 4-1 on the road.

Local youth sports:Shiner Minor SB concludes season in district title series

The Shiner Minor Softball team finished as District 31 runner up after splitting with Canyon Lake June 23 and 24.Shiner took a 6-2 win June 23 in the opener in Hallettsville and then battled hard but came up short in Canyon Lake on June 24, 10-0.

Shiner Little League: LL All-Stars- Minor girls win district 31 EZ title

Shiner Little League minor and major softball and baseball teams competed in their East District 31 tournaments in Hallettsville and Lockhart. The minor softball team won the District 31 title.Minor SoftballShiner 7, Moulton 0Shiner blanked Moulton 7-0 in their opener on June 13.

Shiner Little League: Shiner LL 8U softball, baseball special tournament results

Shiner Little League 8U softball and baseball battled in their District 31 Special Tournaments starting June 2 in Yoakum.8U SoftballHallettsville 2, Shiner 0Hallettsville scored two runs at the start of the game and held on for a 2-0 win on June 2.
