To the victors, go the spoils.The Sacred Heart Indians dominated the TAPPS Division V all-state and all-district teams.Layne Sevcik and Ty Noska were first team allstate and Bowen Hawkins and Dillon Goedrich second team all-state.

ARLINGTON – It was expected so it was no surprise that Sacred Heart won its second straight TAPPS Division V state championship with two easy victories in the tournament held at Allan Saxe Softball Field.

Indians garner first State Title since 2002

ARLINGTON – After years of frustration, the Sacred Heart Indians finally reached the pinnacle.The Indians defeated Dallas First Baptist 7-3 in the finals Friday afternoon to cop the TAPPS Division V state championship at UTArlington.Charlie Shank was the starting and winning pitcher, going 5.

Indianettes fifth at state meet

HEWITT – The Sacred Heart Indianettes finished fifth at the TAPPS Division IV Track and Field Championships at Midway High School Friday and Saturday.The Indianettes scored 60 points. Dallas First Baptist was first with 99.5 points, Bryan St. Joseph scored 80.5, St. Paul 76.5 and Waco Valor Prep 70.

Indians dispatch Eagles to advance to State Tourney

VICTORIA – The Sacred Heart Indians advanced to the TAPPS Division IV state tournament with a 9-4 victory over Brazosport Christian School at Riverside Park Tuesday, April 29.The Sevcik brothers - Layne and Trent - led the win.Layne Sevcik was the starting and winning pitcher.

WALLER – The Sacred Heart Indianettes punched their ticket to the state tournament with a 23-0 mauling of Huntsville Omega School Tuesday, April 29 in a TAPPS Division IV game.SH banged out 16 hits with five going for extra bases.Avery Beach homered and was the winning pitcher.

Indianettes clinch District championship

SHINER – Three pitchers combined for a twohitter and Avery Beach and Ella Demel both hit home runs in a 14-0 five-inning victory over St. Paul to clinch the TAPPS District 5 Division IV championship at the StarPlex Thursday evening.For Beach, it was her 7th home run and Demel has six.

Indianettes take over sole possession of first place

Sacred Heart and St. Paul were toe-toe before the Indianettes scored 10 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to claim an 18-8 victory and take over sole possession of first place in TAPPS District 5, Division IV here Tuesday, April 1.

Indians stay undefeated in District after wins over St. Paul, Bracken

Pitching carried the Sacred Heart Indians to two TAPPS District 5 Division 4 victories last week.The latest was a 6-0 win over St. Paul here Friday.Charlie Shank pitched a one-hitter. And at one time, he retired 15 batters in a row before Clay Watkins was safe on an error in the sixth inning.
