Indians down St. Paul in District opener

SHINER – Laynee Sevcik struck out 13 as the Sacred Heart Indians defeated St. Paul 4-1 in the TAPPS District 5 Division IV opener for both teams Tuesday, March 11 at the Star Plex.Sevcik went 6 . 2 innings and gave up one run, three hits and walked five.

Cameron defeats Indians

Cameron Yoe defeated the Sacred Heart Indians here Monday, March 3, 7-0.Yoe pitcher Homer Najera held the Indians to one hit, a second inning single by Trent Ferry.Xavier Gilman had two hits for Yoe who was aided by three Tribe errors.

'Nettes succumb to BSJ

GIDDINGS – The Sacred Heart Indians had trouble scoring in the middle quarters in a 41-27 loss to Bryan St. Joseph, 41-27, Friday in the TAPPS Division regional finals Friday night.The Indianettes led 11-8 at the end of the first quarter behind 4 points by Mallory Mueller before things went south.

Indians lose in extra innings

The Sacred Heart Indians dropped their season opener to Smithville in extra innings, 3-1 here Monday.The Tigers pushed across two runs in the top of the 10th on three walks and an RBI single by Thomas Davis.There was a lot of traffic on the bases.

Indians defeat Reicher in Bi-District

WACO – The cream rose to the top as the Sacred Heart Indians headed the ship in the right direction with a 65-54 TAPPS Division IV bi-district victory over Bishop Waco Reicher Friday.The win snapped the Indians’ four-game losing at the right time.

SP wins District title

The St. Paul Lady Cardinals spoiled Parents Night for the Sacred Heart Indianettes and won the TAPPS District 5 Division championship in the process with a 56-31 victory here Tuesday, Feb. 4.SP leapt out to a 17-9 lead at the end of the first quarter behind 7 points by Kristin Cerny.

Tribe dealt back to back losses

The Sacred Heart Indians were handed back-toback TAPPS District 5 Division IV losses last week, the latest a 61-59 verdict Friday at Victoria Faith Academy.The Indians defeated the Cougars 59-48 here Jan. 17.Faith Academy won despite a 26-point, 14-rebound performance by Andrew Steffek.
