Brahmas right the ship in wins over Bulldogs, Sharks

The Hallettsville Brahmas had revenge on their minds when they took the field against Yoakum here Friday night in a District 25-AAA contest.The Brahmas atoned for the 4-2 loss to the Bulldogs in Yoakum March 12 with a 10-0 victory.

Brahmas drop to third place with losses to Industrial, Columbus

Back-to-back to back losses last dropped the Hallettsville Brahmas to third place in the District 25-AAA standings.The latest came here Thursday night when district pacesetter Columbus scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a 5-2 verdict.

3 LB qualify for Regional

VICTORIA – Three Hallettsville Lady Brahma netters qualified for regional in the District 25-AAA Meet at Victoria West High School Monday.The doubles teams of April Leopold and Olivia Etzler beat Edna in the finals, 6-0, 6-1.

Lady Brahma rampage continues

The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas’ tour of District 25-AAA continued with two run-rule victories last week.The most recent was here Thursday night in a 13-3, fiveinning win over Columbus.Grace Halata (8-1) was the starting and winning pitcher and went 4.

Wilson ties school record

EL MATON - Jorian Wilson tied the school record for home runs in a season in the Hallettsville Brahmas’ 16-6 win in six innings over the Tidehaven Tigers in a District 25-AAA game Friday.Wilson tied the record which was set by Eric Bludau in 1997 with his eighth and ninth home runs.

Lady Brahmas move to 6-0 in district

EL MATON -The Tidehaven Tigerettes were the first team in District 25-AAA to take the the Hallettsville Lady Brahmas to seven innings in a 12-4 loss Friday.The LB (24-2, 6-0) had 18 hits in the victory.Kaylee Olivarez (10-1) was the winning pitcher and threw four innings.

The Hallettsville Brahma Relays will be run Thursday beginning with the field events at 3:15.The running events will begin at 5:45Teams in the meet are Hallettsville, Edna, Shiner, Cuero, Palacios, Rice Consolidated and Seguin Lifegate Christian.

Brahmas rally to defeat Edna, 4-2

The Hallettsville Brahmas had gone 10 innings without scoring a run prior to the bottom of the sixth inning with their District 25-AAA game with Edna here Friday.The Brahmas exploded for four runs in the sixth to eke out a 4-2 victory.

The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas continued their run through District 25- AAA with two more victories last week.Run-rule games were prevalent for the Lady Brahmas in the victories over Yoakum (22-3) and Edna (10-0) last week.
