Minor League boys win District East Zone title

The Hallettsville Minor League All Stars defeated Shiner, 15-5, in five innings to win the District 31 East Zone championship here Friday.Hallettsville had only seven hits and took advantage of six walks, a hit batsman and four errors.

Minor League girls hit a bump in the road

A reversal in fortune occurred when the Minor League girls lost to Shiner twice in the finals of District 21 East Zone Tournament here.Hallettsville went to the finals undefeated before losing to Shiner twice – 13-6 Friday and 9-6 Sunday evening.

Minor League Boys gain State Tourney

INGLESIDE – The Hallettsville 12 U Minor League boys copped the Section 4 Tournament in dramatic fashion with a 9-8 victory over Needville Friday.The All-Stars trailed 8-4 prior to scoring five runs in the top of the sixth inning to pull out the win.The five runs came on just two hits.

Minor League Boys defeat Needville, 11-7

INGLESIDE – The Hallettsville 10U AllStars took an 11-7 victory over Needville in the opening round of the Section IV Tournament Monday evening.Hallettsville had only four hits, but took advantage of 11 walks and a Needville error.Colt Wagner started on the hill and went two and a two third innings.
